The Office of Diversity and Community Relations is committed to providing support with equal opportunity, unlawful harassment including sexual harassment, discrimination and disability.
The American Association for Higher Education and the American Association of University Professors are among over 40 educationally oriented organizations that endorsed On the Importance of Diversity in Higher Education (2002), a report outlining the critical link between diversity and higher education. The statement includes the following:

PCOM supports the SafeZone program, which develops environments that are supportive to LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning) individuals.
INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine has recognized PCOM as one of eight Diversity Champion colleges and universities in the nation. Diversity Champions exemplify an unyielding commitment to diversity and inclusion throughout their campus communities, across academic programs and at the highest administrative levels.
