The College's growing pains didn't end with its move to the City Avenue campus in 1973. To help alleviate the need for space, PCOM purchased an adjacent office building at 4190 City Avenue in 1975.

The building, named Rowland Hall in honor of PCOM's fourth president Thomas M. Rowland Jr., is filled with medical practices, the Department of Psychology and numerous College offices such as Graduate Medical Education and the Bursar's Office. The first floor houses the Barnes & Noble College bookstore, a bank and PCOM Printing Services. Classrooms and study areas are also found here.

Rowland Hall underwent extensive renovations in 1996-97 as part of PCOM's Master Facilities Plan.
