Division of Research


Small Place - Big Impact Making A DifferencePCOM Flame


The division of research provides operational support, resources, intramural funding and development for research activity across all functional areas and across the both the PA and Ga campuses. The organization provides oversight and direction for 147 specific aims in basic sciences and translational research as well as 95 specific aims in clinical, educational and psychological research projects.


Cancer research

Heather Montie, PhD, assistant professor, bio-medical sciences, discusses her research on Kennedy's disease and prostate cancer.

Research on plastination

Kerin Claeson, PhD, assistant professor, bio-medical sciences, discusses plastination, a process through which bodies are preserved and used for educational purposes.
