Explaining the icons:

	Allows you to search for a specific author. Click on the icon, then type in the author's last name and first and middle initials, if known.
	Allows you to search for a specific word or phrase in the title of an article. Click on the icon, then type in your word or phrase.
	Allows you to search for articles in a specific journal. Click on the icon, then type in the full name of the journal.
	Allows you to search for a word in a specific field, such as the institution of the first author. Click on the icon, then type in your word and select a field from the list.
	Provides access to alphabetical lists of Medical Subject Headings, Permuted Medical Subject Headings, and Tree Structure.
	Allows you to combine two or more sets together. Click on the icon, then select the sets to combine and then select either "and" or "or".
	Allows you to select any set to limit. Allows you to use additional limits not listed on the Main Search Page, such as Publication Types and Age Groups. Click on the icon, then select the set to limit, and the limits.
	Allows you to change the search options. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THE BASIC MODE.
	Allows you to change databases. You will have the option to rerun your strategy in another database. UNLESS YOU ARE USING ANOTHER MEDLINE FILE, DO NOT RERUN YOUR SEARCH. THE SUBJECT HEADING MAY NOT BE THE SAME.
	Will log you off the system. Please logoff the system when you are finished. The system will automatically log you off after 15 minutes of no activity.

	Clicking on this button will send your input and/or selections to the database for processing.
	This button will send you to the next step in the search process.
	Allows you to run a previously saved search strategy. Click on this button and select a stored strategy to run.
	Allows you to save your search strategy so that you can reuse it at a later time. Click on this button and fill in the form to save your strategy. [Generic access limited to saving for 24 hours only. Personal Accounts can save permanently.]
	Allows you to delete search sets.
	Allows you to expand the Main Search Page so that you can see all the sets in your search. Ovid defaults to showing the last 4 sets.
	Allows you to compress the Main Search Page so that you see only the last 4 sets in your search.
	Returns the searcher to the Main Search Page.
	Displays the next group of citations.
	Displays the previous set of citations.
