INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
General Information
- A poster session will be held at the 2006 POMA (Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association)
Clinical Assembly/Convention; posters will be displayed on Thursday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m and presenters should be available from 10:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.
- To submit an abstract, the D.O. contributor must be in an Osteopathic training program. The registration fee will be waived for Members of PCOM MEDNet and POMA. After receiving notification of abstract approval the author(s) must forward the registration fee of $50 (made payable to PCOM) with a printed copy of the abstract by April 1, 2005 to Joanne Jones, MBA, Assistant Director PCOM MEDNet, 4190 City Avenue, Suite 205, Philadelphia, PA 19131-1693.
- Abstracts must be submitted online to Frederick J. Goldstein, Ph.D., Director of Research, PCOM MEDNet at fredg@pcom.edu by February 1, 2006.
- If abstract has previously been submitted to other meetings, specify the event(s) and provide the date(s).
- The limit is 250 words (does not include Title, Authors and Affiliations).
- The PCOM MEDNet Research Committee will review each submissions and inform all first authors of its decision by March 4, 2006.
Abstract Preparation
- Abstract title must be in 10 point UPPERCASE BOLD in Times New Roman. All other text must be in upper and lowercase 10 point Times New Roman (not bold).
- Presenting author is indicated by an underline. All other co-authors are not underlined.
- All authors are represented by 1st and 2nd initial followed by surname and highest professional degree.
- Each author's respective affiliation is to be indicated with a superscript number which corresponds to the list of affiliations, e.g., M J Brown1, DO, G L Smith, MD2.
- List affiliations as follows:
- Department of Internal Medicine, Blank School of Medicine, City, State
- Department of Cardiology, Blank Medical Center, City, State
- Include subtitles in BOLD: Introduction; Methods; Results; Conclusion.
- Do not include references.
- Use single spacing on this template.
