Nancy Shapiro, PharmD

  

Clinical Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Shapiro earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed a one year residency in hospital pharmacy practice at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital Los Angeles, California. She spent the next year as an Assistant Clinical Professor at St. John's University, Jamaica, New York. Dr. Shapiro served on the staff at Northside Hospital in Atlanta as Coordinator of the I.V. Admixture Service and the Nutritional Support Team, as well as an Adjunct Professor at Mercer University, Atlanta, GA. In addition, Dr. Shapiro established Northside Hospital's first pharmacokinetics service and was instrumental in opening the neonatal intensive care satellite. Dr. Shapiro will be responsible for coordinating the pharmacy experiential component of the PCOM PharmD curriculum.
