Dr. Poole received a BA degree in Chemistry from Maryville College (Tennessee) and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He completed a postdoctoral residency in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Pharmacy Practice at Emory University. As an addition to our forming School of Pharmacy staff, Dr. Poole brings over twenty years of healthcare experience in the areas of clinical practice, research and work within the pharmaceutical industry. He has spent many of those years in leadership roles building clinical pharmacy services within an academic medical center, serving as adjunct Clinical Faculty for the University of Florida School of Pharmacy, then contributing to the establishment and growth of a field-based medical corporate team for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Poole is passionate about team-building and working with the mission of the new School of Pharmacy to drive quality and integrate effectively into the healthcare fabric of Georgia and the Southeast.
