Mark Litzinger received a BSc in Botany in 1996 and his BSc in Pharmacy in 2003 from the University of Alberta, faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is a registered pharmacist in 2 provinces in Canada (British Columbia, Alberta) and 3 states in the United States (Hawaii, Oregon, Washington State). He has served as a pharmacy manager for many years and is a certified pharmacy student preceptor in Washington. Mr. Litzinger has taught numerous pharmacy related seminars to diverse groups throughout his career. Before joining the PCOM School of Pharmacy, Mr. Litzinger was the clinical coordinator at the University of Hawaii at Hilo where he was the onsite coordinator for many rotations. Also, Mr. Litzinger was responsible for implementing the immunization program for students, served on committees, and taught in the Foundations of Integrated Therapeutics and OTC drugs course. His main areas of interest are Pharmacy Administration, and Pharmacoeconomic. However he also has interest in the pharmacotherapy related to psychiatric and neurologic disorders, specifically, SSRIs for the treatment of depression and anxiety and disease modifying drugs for the treatment of multiple sclerosis.
