Peter J. Giglio, DO, FACOS

Dr. Giglio is a native of Tampa, Fla., and attended the University of Dayton.  He received his D.O. degree from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, and went on to complete his Internship and Surgical Residency at Grandview Hospital in Dayton.  He served as Chief Resident while at Grandview.
Dr. Giglio is Board Certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Prior career experiences include serving as Chief of Staff, Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Chairman of the Florida State Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, and as an Examiner for the National Boards.  He also held a seat on the Board of Directors of the Florida Peer Review Organization, and sat on the Executive Board of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
His areas of medical interest include surgical laparoscopy and endoscopy as well as surgical oncology, and has published several articles and case reviews.  He enjoys giving back to the profession by helping to train future physicians in the osteopathic philosophy.
Dr. Giglio is married and has two sons who are osteopathic family physicians in Florida.  He also has a daughter who is an RN in Atlanta, and two other daughters now in college.
