Larry DeLapp, MLS
Librarian

Mr. DeLapp holds both a Bachelor degree in Communications and a Master Degree in Library Science from the University of Alabama.  A Birmingham, native, he had a career in the advertising, journalism and public relations fields prior to returning to school and obtaining his MLS in 1991.  Prior to 1991, Mr. DeLapp was the Managing Editor of Public Relations for Civitan International and was Managing Editor of Civitan Magazine.  Mr. DeLapp also sold advertising for a local Birmingham,
 
After finishing his master degree, Mr. DeLapp moved to the Atlanta area and obtained a Library position with Life University in Marietta, Ga..  He worked there for eight years in a variety of positions, including that of Systems Librarian. 

Mr. DeLapp’s hobbies include genealogy, boating, cavorting with his pets and traveling.  He is a past president of the Founders of Manakintowne in the Colony of Virginia, Georgia Chapter, and is a member of the Georgia Health Sciences Library Association and the Southern Chapter of the Medical Library Association.

Mr. DeLapp is married and has one son.
