Financial Aid

The investment Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine students make in their futures is priceless, but paying for that education requires a well thought out, financially-sound strategy. The PCOM Financial Aid Office understands that this process is complex and can be overwhelming. We have made it our objective to provide you with information about what types of aid are available, how to apply for aid, application deadlines, debt management counseling and general assistance in a wide range of topics related to financial aid.

Throughout the year, our office maintains an open-door policy. From Monday through Thursday, with the exception of short-term peak processing periods, no appointment is necessary to speak with a financial aid counselor. During those discussions, we take the time to listen to your financial situation and help create funding solutions. We look at all options open to students including institutional needs-based grants offered by PCOM. We also help research sources of gift aid such as grants and scholarships which do not have to be repaid and private sources of aid from outside of the institution. Our goal is to carefully plan and help you manage your educational debt as much as possible. We help you consider future obligations and give you ideas and tools to live modestly. We offer a published Guide to Financing Your PCOM Education and can work with you to create a budget.

We encourage you to stop by the Financial Aid Office to discuss all of your questions concerning the financing of your education.
