Master Promissory Note for Disbursement of Federal Stafford Loan

First time Stafford borrowers at PCOM must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) with a participating lender before loan funds can be disbursed to the school.  If you have chosen one of the many lenders that are affiliated with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Authority (PHEAA), you can complete the MPN online:

1.  Access American Education Services (AES) at www.aessuccess.org.

2.  Click on "Find Aid for School" from the tabs on the left.

3.  Under "Help Me Find the Right Loan," go to Stafford Loans and click on "Apply Now".

4.  You will be prompted to create an account to complete your MPN.  The items that you will need are:
          

   Your driver's license information

   The name, address and telephone number of two references

   Your U.S. Department of Education PIN (used to complete the FAFSA)

   The name of your chosen lender, preferably with the lender code

5.  Click "Continue" to create an account login and password.

6.  Follow the prompts to complete your MPN.

Upon successful completion of the MPN, AES/PHEAA will notify the PCOM Financial Aid Office and provide the name of your lender so that your loan can be certified.  If you have selected a lender that is not affiliated with AES/PHEA, please inform the Financial Aid Office of the name of the lender and preferably, the lender code.
