The Master of Science in School Psychology program is designed for those with a bachelor's degree who are looking to either enrich their professional life or start their journey toward becoming a licensed school psychologist. Taught by experienced faculty, this program provides students with a basic understanding of the principles of school psychology as applied to education.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in psychology, education or a related field with a B average or better. Applicants must also meet the following prerequisite coursework:
- 6 credits of English
- 6 credits of Math
- Abnormal Psychology/Psychopathology or Exceptional Children
- Child and/or Adolescent Psychology
- 9 credits of psychology or relevant electives approved by the admissions committee to total 15 semester credit hours of preparation for graduate study in school psychology
APPLICATION PROCESS
The Master of Science in School Psychology application process begins with the submission of the following:
- Application fee of $50
- Application, including autobiographical statement
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work
- Three letters of recommendation with recommendation forms
- Scores from GRE or Miller's Analogies Test
The starting term for the program is the summer of each year. The MS program utilizes a rolling admissions policy, so applications will be considered throughout the year as they are received. Students will be accepted into the program until the desired class size is achieved, therefore it is recommended for candidates to submit applications early.
NOTE FOR ALL SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAMS:
The Admissions Committee screens applications, invites some applicants for an interview and writing sample, evaluates the applicants and selects the new students. Following completion of the admissions process, each applicant is notified of the Admissions Committee's decision in writing, including any conditions that must be satisfied prior to or following enrollment.
As an applicant to PCOM's School Psychology program, you are responsible for ensuring that all admissions materials are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Prior to enrollment, all candidates are required to complete the college's Technical Standards for Admission and Matriculation.
