ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, is seeking a full time Patient Service Representative for our Cambria Healthcare Center. The patient service representative will enhance the overall efficiency of the outpatient practice by serving the patients at the front desk. This position will be responsible for checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, processing referrals, scheduling ancillary studies, scanning documents, and monitoring patient flow. Other duties will be assigned as needed. The Patient Service Representative will maintain confidential information as per the policies of the institution and HIPPA regulations. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum one year experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting is required. CPR certification is required. Working knowledge of EMR systems is preferred. Qualified applicants will possess excellent communication, telephone, and customer service skills.
