Job Title: Academic Coordinator
Department: Academic Technologies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Academic Technologies, is currently seeking a full-time Academic Coordinator.  Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Technologies Officer, the Academic Coordinator will provide a wide range of administrative support to the department including material and document preparation, phone support, meeting and training coordination, calendar management, budget tracking. This position will also act as the first line support for learning technology end users with educational technologies such as Blackboard Learn and Collaborate.  The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for the triage and escalation of issues to the appropriate support teams within Academic Technologies or ITS. In addition, the Academic Coordinator will develop, coordinate, and disseminate the department’s monthly newsletter to the PCOM community.

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum five years administrative experience working in a fast paced office environment is required. Preference given to candidates with Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degrees. The incumbent must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated basic knowledge of and interest in learning technologies. Experience with learning management systems, such as Blackboard, a plus.
