Job Title:        Vice Chair of the Department of Family Medicine

Department:   Family Medicine 

Location:         4190 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The successful candidate will will work closely with the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine. 

  • This position will include clinical, academic, and administrative responsibilities. 

  • The Vice Chair will be responsible for the development of ambulatory care curricula for the PCOM Healthcare Centers.  The development of curricula to  integrate electronic medical records in the standardized patient programs and healthcare centers.  Participating in the physical examination and communications courses,  Directing the Family Medicine clinical rotations. 

  • Administering the PCOM Family Medicine OPTI program. 

  • Maintaining a clinical (teaching) practice.  Assisting the Chair in administering the PCOM healthcare centers.   

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum qualifications include a DO degree with AOBFP certification, at least 6 years of clinical practice, experience in bedside and lecture format teaching, interest in and a desire to seek advanced training in curriculum development. 
  • At least 3 years of administrative experience with a medical school or residency program.
