Job Title: Benefits Specialist
Department: Human Resources
Location: 4190 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Office of Human Resources seeks a full time Benefits Specialist.
Candidate will provide diversified administrative and specialized support for employee benefit functions.
Responsibilities include the day to day administration of various benefit plans, servicing routine employee benefit inquires and claims resolution, COBRA administration, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, database report generation, set-up and maintenance of computerized benefits-related information for employees, etc.
Busy office envirnoment with extensive phone contact and employee/visitor interaction.
The ideal candidate must have excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills, detailed orientated.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software: Word, Access and Excel. Minimum of 3 years experience in an Academic Environment, Bachelor's Degree, CEBS exams or other benefits certifications preferred. Knowledge of Banner or other HRIS computer system a plus.
