PCOM Employment Opportunities

The Department of Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) is seeking a doctoral level, state (or nationally) certified and licensed (or license-eligible) school psychologist for a half-time (12-month) position, entering at the Clinical Assistant Professor level, to begin January 1, 2010.  This position is already funded.  Responsibilities include teaching in the NASP approved School Psychology Programs, mentoring dissertations, clinical supervision, assisting in the development and evaluation of training sites, scholarly activity in areas of specialty, departmental and college committee work and overseeing the program?s standardized patient training program.  The PsyD Program is listed among ASPPB?s Designated Programs.  Degree in School Psychology or a related field from a NASP approved and/or an APA-Accredited Program, emphasis in cognitive-behavioral training, and a planned program of scholarly activity are required.  Applicants with experience in research design and neuropsychology will be given preference.  However, all interested individuals, especially minority candidates, are encouraged to apply.   

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must have commitment to the practitioner-scholar model.  Candidate must also qualify for Core Faculty status per American Psychological Association guidelines (individual?s primary professional employment [50% or more] must be with PCOM?s School PsyD program, i.e., at least 50% of individual?s professional time must be exclusively devoted to program-related activities).
