Job Title: Office Manager
Department: Family Medicine

  • Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, is seeking an Office Manager for the Family Medicine @ PCOM clinic, located on campus. Reporting to the Medical Director, the Office Manager will manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the healthcare center.  This includes directing and supervising the administrative activities of the staff, overseeing charge entry and scanning of patient charts into the NextGen EMR system, scheduling the medical student shadowing schedules, and participating in the development and enforcement of healthcare center policies and standards. This position will also be responsible for assisting the Medical Director in fulfilling the clinical, academic, and administrative responsibilities of the center and will implement all Patient-Centered Medical Home elements into the workflow of the office. 


  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education is required. A minimum of four years of management experience in a healthcare organization with at least three years in a clinical environment is required. Proficiency in NextGen or similar practice management/electronic medical records system is required. Knowledge of Banner preferred
