Job Title:         Chief Diversity Officer and Compliance Officer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a Chief Diversity/Compliance Officer (CDCO) to serve as the main point of contact for all diversity and compliance related matters and efforts for the College, which includes campuses in both Philadelphia, PA and Georgia. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the CDCO will be responsible for advancing the institution’s goals for embracing diversity and inclusion in pursuit of educational excellence. Working with the PCOM community, the CDCO will promote the development of programs and activities to support a culture of open inquiry, pluralism and mutual respect among students, faculty, and staff.  The Chief Diversity/Compliance Officer will work closely with Student Affairs, Admissions, and Human Resources to enhance the recruitment and successful retention of students, faculty, and staff from diverse and under-represented population groups and will provide guidance to faculty on curriculum and academic course development with regard to diversity and inclusion. The CDCO will also have direct oversight of the PCOM Compliance Program, ensuring that the college is in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations related to compliance matters, and that all college policies and procedures relative to these regulations are being followed.  The CDCO will oversee all diversity and compliance related training activities on PA and GA campuses.  

     

      

REQUIREMENTS:

  • It is strongly preferred that the successful candidate possess exceptional knowledge and experience in all laws and regulations relative to diversity and compliance effecting higher education and health care, or equivalent experience in other business settings.  A Master’s degree and a minimum five years experience in a field directly related to responsibilities outlined above is required.
