Job Title: Director of Experiential Education

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine has created a new School of Pharmacy in the greater Atlantic, Georgia area and is seeking qualified individuals for full-time tenure-track faculty positions. School of Pharmacy is currently applying for precandidate status with ACPE and seeks to enroll its inaugural class in Fall 2010.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate is expected to have strong knowledge about the current practice of pharmacy and ideally will be familiar with pharmacy and health care institutions in the Southeastern U.S. Responsibilities of the position include identification and development of clinical training sites for the experiential program and create affiliation agreements with each site, support the needs of pharmacy preceptor network, develop sites initially doing the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) and the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE), utilize rotation software to assign students to rotations sites and manage student and preceptor evaluations, teach in the PharmD program and contribute to scholarship and service needs of the school. The Director of Experiential Education will report directly to the Chair of Pharmacy Practice.
REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified individuals will possess a pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and have previous experience as a preceptor for pharmacy students. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia. Previous administrative experience is required and the ideal candidate will have managerial skills and previous experience in a school of pharmacy.
