ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PCOM School of Pharmacy has obtained Candidate status with ACPE and is currently seeking qualified individuals for three full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The job location is in Suwanee, GA (just outside of the greater Atlanta area). This individual is expected to assist in the development of the PharmD program, teach in a variety of pharmaceutical sciences courses, develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program and participate in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment with other faculty in the School. In addition, this individual will be expected to contribute to the service needs of the School, serve on various committees and participate in the accreditation process.
The successful applicant will possess a Ph.D. degree or professional doctorate in one of the following disciplines: 1) Pharmacology/toxicology, 2) Physiology/Pathophysiology or 3) Pharmacokinetics. Desirable qualifications include postdoctoral experience in the specialized or overlapping disciplines, successful record of scholarship and attainment of research grants, curricular experience in a school of pharmacy and previous teaching experience.
