2008 Graduate Programs Commencement Ceremony
The 2008 Graduate Programs Commencement Ceremony will be
held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, 260 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102. The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:00 Noon. We expect the ceremony to conclude at approximately 1:30 PM.

Announcement Posted 7/3/08 - Pick up of Caps and Gowns
Graduates will receive an offical e-mail from Student Affairs containing the dates and times to pick up your caps and gowns. Distribution dates/times to pickup your cap and gown is as follows:
July 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16, 2008
9:00 am to 5:00 pm - Student Affairs Office, Evans Hall, Suite 101
July 19, 2008 (Saturday)
9:00 am to 1:00 pm - Student Affairs Office, Evans Hall, Suite 101
July 21, 22 and 23, 2008
9:00 am to 5:00 pm - Student Affairs Office, Evans Hall, Suite 101
The commencement package may be picked up by someone other than the graduate.
Formal Graduation Announcement Cards
The College provides formal announcement cards for graduates to use
as invitations for family and friends. Initially, you will receive 20 graduation announcements with personalized name cards. Graduation announcements will be sent to all graduates using the address provided on the Commencement Information form. Graduates will receive an e-mail notification when this process is complete. The formal graduation announcement card is NOT your commencement ticket for the Kimmel Center.
Commencement Package
The Commencement Package will contain:
Tickets - Kimmel Center generated Commencement Tickets
Cap and Gown Gift for Graduates from The Office of Alumni Relations and Development
If for some reason you cannot pick up your Commencement Package until the day of graduation, we will bring your package to the Kimmel Center for you. Just notify Donna Feeney in writing at the following e-mail address:
DonnaF@pcom.edu indicating that you would like to pick up your commencement package on the day of Commencement.
Tickets - Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center
All family members and guests MUST have a commencement ticket issued by the Kimmel Center to enter Verizon Hall on Commencement Day. Every graduate will automatically receive 4 tickets. We will not be able to make arrangement for extra tickets until after May 1, 2008. At that time, graduates will receive instructions regarding extra tickets via e-mail. Please understand we cannot guarantee that any extra tickets will be available, and if they are the number will be very limited.
Graduation Gift - Compliments of The Office of Alumni Relations and Development
The Office of Alumni Relations and Development is very proud to welcome each new graduate as an alumnus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. We appreciate the opportunity to acknowledge new alumni with a small token given at the time of their Commencement. It is our hope alumni will stay connected to the College with their involvement in the PCOM Alumni Program.
Arrival of Guests at the Kimmel Center
Family and guests should be seated in Verizon Hall no later than 11:30 a.m. Verizon Hall opens for guest seating at 11:15 a.m. and seating is by ticket only.
Special Accommodation Seating
Students who have family members needing special accommodations for wheelchair seating at the Kimmel Center MUST contact Andrea Kyer in the Dean's Office as soon as possible up and until June 2, 2008 at AndreaKy@pcom.edu. Please include the number of special accommodation seats you will need for 7/25.
Photographs
Our staff photographer will be on hand to take group pictures of graduates and faculty starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Kimmel Center. Students please make sure you have your cap and gown on at this time. A schedule for photographs will be posted on this page. After graduation, students will be sent an e-mail with a link to view / print these photographs once they become available.
