Certificate of Graduate Study in Forensic Medicine

  

Why PCOM?
PCOM is conveniently located on City Avenue, just minutes from the city and the suburbs. PCOM offers the only forensic medicine programs in the region. Students learn through a combination of classroom, online and hands-on training, which prepares them for a successful career in the field. Our graduates have the opportunity to work in a variety of professions including death and crime scene investigation, forensic investigation, forensic nursing, coroner, sexual assault examiner and insurance examiner.

The Certificate of Graduate Studies in Forensic Medicine program is designed for individuals who have an undergraduate degree and either clinical experience or a background in law enforcement who do not wish to commit to a full degree program.

This 20-credit program leads to a certificate of advanced graduate study (CAGS) in forensic medicine and is completed in one year. Some course material covers topics such as ballistics, toxicology, forensic anthropology, forensic entomology and legal studies.
